CHAT DEMANDS IMPROMPTU IC PARTY FOR THE WIN AND THE LULZ

LET'S GO!  JOIN IN!

At the end of the day, your character is led back to their room in the usual manner.  The nurse's hand reaches for the doorknob and the door swings open, then--

Poof!

Your character appears in a large ballroom with an exquisitely tiled floor and a large stone fountain in the center.  The centerpiece of the fountain, shaped like a large fish, continually emits a spray of glitter from its open mouth.  Several tables covered with crisp white tablecloths are positioned near the walls, and a jar of sharpie brand glitter-paint markers serves as a colorful centerpiece for each.

Against the far wall is a long, rectangular table, with two bowls of red punch.  A sign written in fancy calligraphy rests against each: Yes, and No.  In addition to the punch, there are bottles of every liquor imaginable, as well as several fine wines and packs of cigarettes (though partygoers will have to fight for a single lighter).

The bathroom to one side bears a creepy resemblance to the bathroom in a normal house, complete with a medicine cabinet worthy of a lonely 50's housewife.

On the other side are a series of doors leading to rooms.

CURRENT SUB-ROOMS:

Bathroom
Office
Room of Mystical Legal Aging
Vegas Hotel
Broom Closet
Walk-in Freezer

If your character goes into a room, please put that room in the subject line.  Rooms are lockable.  If you want a room that isn't listed, tell me and I'll give it to you.  XD

Since this is not an actual [livejournal.com profile] damned event and is not srs bzns, feel free to join in with a character that from another rp if you're a potential player.  If this is the case, instead of entering through a door in the institute, your player would enter through a random door in the RP from whence they came.  XD  EDIT:  Party is now also for trying out potential characters.

The YES punch smells and tastes alcoholic, and has the same effect as a normal spiked drink.  The NO punch smells and tastes like normal non-alcoholic party punch.  IF YOUR CHARACTER DRINKS THE NO PUNCH, IM ME AT QUANTIFYTHIS AND I WILL TELL YOU ITS EFFECT.

THE FIRST RULE OF THE PARTY IS DON'T BE LAME.  THE SECOND RULE OF THE PARTY IS SRSLY, DON'T BE LAME.

FORMER MUSIC
FORMER MUSIC
CURRENT MUSIC
(music will be updated when Allie is not lazy and people give requests)

SMALL PRINT:  Powers and weapons are go as long as whoever you're using them on is cool with it.  Continuity from previous damned parties is intact if you want it to be, or not intact if you don't want it to be.  Clothing is whatever your character wore in canon, whatever they should have worn in canon, whatever they wore in their rp game, or whatever isn't in the dryer.  This impromptu chat party will last until everyone gets bored.

Sebastian grunted in pain when Grell stepped on his knee, but it didn't matter. He'd be in shape to fight again in no time flat. Ten seconds... nine... eight.

The chainsaw swung down and Sebastian knocked it away with his arm, receiving a large gash and tearing up his shirt. Wonderful. He'd have to find a new one later.

Film strip erupted out of his open wound.

Dammit. Stupid arms. Why did people always try to block with their arms? Well, he supposed it was better than having one's head ripped off, but it was still annoying for the murderer. So much extra unnecessary bone and tissue to cut through. What a bother.

The upside of the little setback (and there was usually an upside) was that he got another chance at Sebastian's Cinematic Record. As the blood sprayed from the wound, Grell could see the droplets turn into little cinemas, each playing a different scene. Mundane things like making breakfast to the more horrifying usually came out right about now, but Sebastian was a cheeky bastard and had learned the trick awhile ago.

So what Grell got now was a disappointment of a young Indian man with a piece of paper showing an elephant whose trunk moved 'up.' Who the hell wanted to buy something lame like that? And who the hell was that guy? "Sebas-chan! You've been cheating on me! How cruel of you to take another into your house like that!"

Grell kicked at Sebastian's arm and grinned down at him. "Do I have to teach you a lesson?"

In a normal situation, Sebastian would have pointed out that he hadn't invited Sohma and Agni into the manor--they'd simply moved in without any prior notice. But the words would have fallen on deaf ears, as Grell, being insane, probably didn't care.

"No, that will be unnecessary."

Sebastian quickly shifted position, his knee recovered, and attempted a sweep kick at Grell's legs.

Grell felt Sebastian shift beneath him and he tripped, jumping back and stumbling back. The stupid wings really threw his balance off. Although, it did mean he had softer landings whenever he had to jump out of the way. Feathers ruffled, he shook his wings out and rested the now quiet chainsaw at his side. "Too bad, I was hoping for a second shot. You had to have led a more interesting life than you've been showing me, Sebas-chan."

For how long the man had been alive, something interesting had to have happened, right? He had seen the beginnings of something wonderful the first time he'd cut into Sebastian, but now all he saw was mundane dribble. It wasn't any fun at all.

Hefting the chainsaw onto his shoulders, he grinned and shook his head. "You'll never catch a girl like this - showing her dull things all the time!" And a shame, too. Swinging the chainsaw off his shoulder, he revved it up again and grinned. "So, come show me something interesting."

"Women have their secrets, to be sure," Sebastian said, standing up and holding his injured arm. "But that doesn't mean that us men aren't allowed to keep a few things to ourselves."

The demon glanced over to the table with the pens. He was in luck--the tables had chairs. At least he could arm himself with something.

"I'd rather keep all of it away from you, you understand." Sebastian quickly jumped back towards the nearest chair.

"But it's a woman's job to know all the secrets hidden in her lover's mind," Grell countered, advancing forward with a smile on his lips. "How can I ever feel close to you if I don't at least know more than the basics?"

That chair could be trouble, as could the tables and the pens near it. Oh, and that tablecloth. God, he hated cloth after what happened last time. At least now he knew not to waste time trying to pull it out. Resourcefulness would have to be his new scheme if he didn't want his face getting kicked in again. "A few things yes, but Sebas-chan, darling - you've kept so much from me. How can I not be just a little bit jealous?"

The chainsaw revved up again and Grell attacked, leaping forward and swinging the weapon at Sebastian's shoulder, hoping to take advantage of his injury before it healed.

"Which would be why we are not lovers," Sebastian said politely. "It is rather unorthodox for a lover to hack away at their partner with a chainsaw."

Grell swung the chainsaw at him and Sebastian grabbed the chair and swung it at Grell's head. What a strange battle this was becoming...

"And there is nothing to be jealous of. Unless you are jealous of my own ability to remember the things that have happened to me--which is very strange.

"But perhaps, if you put the chainsaw down," Sebastian smiled. "We could discuss this like civilized people."

From: [identity profile] thebloodyjuliet.livejournal.com
"Now, now, it's only unorthodox if you don't consider how hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," Grell returned, with decidedly more venom. The chair came at his head and he ducked, pulling the chainsaw back to catch the chair i case it got too close. Jumping back, his wings flared to keep him balanced and he frowned, running a hand through his hair. "It's just unfortunate that so many others know about you and I know so little."

Hefting the chainsaw, he let it run down and tapped it against his shoulder, eying Sebastian warily. "Discuss what like civilized people, hm? I can't quite recall much other than you calling me ugly, being a heartless fiend and-- oh, yes, trying to kick me in the face."

From: [identity profile] erande.livejournal.com
"But I thought that naturally, you being different from other... women," And he used the term loosely. "Would prefer something different. You do carry a chainsaw instead of a scythe--that is rather unique.

"However, if I have offended you, we should be able to come to some sort of resolution--that does not involve me dead," he clarified.

Inwardly, Sebastian was rolling his eyes. This fight, aside from the fact that Grell was insane and wanted him dead, was pointless. He'd much rather be looking for a way out than fending off Grell with a chair.

Somehow, when Grell said he was a lady, it sounded fine, but when Sebastian said it, he got pissed off. There was a mocking undertone he just couldn't get past in the demon's voice that rubbed him in the entirely wrong way. God had made him like this, so it wasn't Grell's fault that God had mixed something up along the way! With all his heart and soul, he knew he was supposed to be a woman, but the cards just didn't play right and God had taken away his right to children. "Naturally or no, a woman's heart is nothing to toy with, Sebas-chan," Grell grumbled, still tapping his chainsaw irritably against his shoulder. At mention of his pride and joy however, he couldn't help but feel his ego swell. "Of course I didn't pick a boring old scythe! Everyone has those and they're just, augh, so unfashionable. No one knows the perfect harmony of a singing blade but me - so much better. And much more efficient."

Keeping an eye on the chair and Sebastian, Grell sat his free hand on his hip and considered what Sebastian just said. A resolution that didn't involve him being dead? But where was the fun in that? At one point, he had been more than willing to let Sebastian and his pipsqueak go, but then that arrogant little boy had given an order and they'd started their game. The Phantomhive brat wasn't here now though, so perhaps he should give 'turning the other cheek' a try. "Oh? And how do you propose that exactly?"

Back in London, when Sebastian had first come across Grell, there hadn't been anyone around except for Ciel. No civilians, no unforeseen casualties. But in this room, there were people. People who might get caught in the deadly sort of crossfire that could only result from death and hell being at odds with one another. And while Sebastian only cared for Ciel's well-being above everyone else's, he knew his master would be irate if he came back bloody and torn. No order had been given, so Sebastian was not allowed to kill anyone. Not even Grell, unless necessity dictated it.

So for now, he'd have to talk the shinigami down from the fight.

"You are most certainly right, a woman's heart is nothing to toy with," Not that Sebastian would know anything about that... "However, you must understand that your actions were quite forward. If we were to sit down at talk, you would find that I am rather old-fashioned, and prefer that over the more... modern ideals you uphold."

Sebastian flashed his most dazzling smile--sans fangs. "Perhaps we could do that right now. Simply talk while we search for a way out of here."

Pretty words, but that's all they were. Sebastian knew that Grell was unstable, and would either gush over the opportunity, or refuse and come after him with the chainsaw again. He waited tensely for the outcome.

To kill or not to kill - that was the question. Shakespeare be damned for that line, Grell liked it better that way. If Hamlet had just gotten the balls up and stabbed his wretched Uncle...well, then the play wouldn't have happened. He knew what Sebastian was trying to do. There were too many people around for him not to know, especially after he'd made a threat against them all. The pipsqueak would be angry if Sebastian just left Grell to his work, and Sebastian was an ever faithful dog to his master.

Now he had to weight his options. The pros of killing Sebastian: he'd be happy with his revenge and Will likely wouldn't care so long as he didn't get trigger-happy and kill everyone else, too. The cons of killing Sebastian: he likely wouldn't stay dead and come back to kick him in the face again. The pros of talking: Getting another chance at making a pass at Sebastian ...not getting kicked in the face. Well, that decided it.

He lowered the chainsaw and shrugged, tucking it away somehow out of view before giving Sebastian a brilliant smile. "Well, if that's how it is, why didn't you say so in the beginning instead of insulting me? You never struck me as the shy type, Sebas-chan. I'm learning so much more about you already."

Why didn't he say so indeed... possibly because the smile that Grell was giving him would make any normal man's spine melt before he could try to run in horror. Fortunately, Sebastian's stomach was made of stronger stuff.

"Yes, well..." Sebastian continued the charade, feigning embarrassment. "It isn't a topic I've had much exposure to, and thus I would rather not discuss it in too much detail. It is highly improper and..."

He had to be careful not to overplay this one, otherwise he could set Grell off again. "...shameful. So whenever the subject comes up, I do things to change the subject. Such as trying to throttle you... I apologize."

Watching Sebastian squirm was priceless. And even better because he knew the truth about how very, very uncomfortable this whole situation had to be making him. A snowman had a better chance in the fires of Hell than Grell had with the butler, but it was a pretty lie and Grell liked pretty things. He also liked making pretty things bleed, but that could wait for a little while longer.

"You need to work on your people skills then, darling, or all the good ones will get away." He highly doubted Sebastian cared about that, but that's what Grell was expected to say, yes? "If you're interested, I'm more than willing to teach you the finer subtleties of courtship. Or perhaps you already know how to win a woman's heart and have been holding out on me? I can't imagine that you of all people would be so timid."

And if he really was? Well, the timid usually turned bold again when they had to fight for their lives. Grell preferred it that way - the blood pumping exhilaration of battle was the perfect way to say 'I love you.'

Sebastian didn't much are if 'the good ones' got away. With every lifetime came new challenges and new people. In all the time he'd been conscious, he'd never had any use for the finer subtleties of courtship.

But now, he did--since it meant that Grell would calm down. If only a little.

"Yes, we may discuss that and my shy nature as we search. I'm certain you are as anxious as I am to get back to London." So very anxious. Being in the same room with Grell was trying, and leaving Ciel alone in the manor, Agni or no, was taxing on his mind.

"As you wish." Grell turned on his heel and started for one of the doors. He'd put up with this for a little while, until Sebastian left too wide an opening and he couldn't help himself. As it was, the 'anxious to leave' vibes radiating off him were enough to make the death god twitchy. But he would be good. Just to prove that he could for a little while.

Will would be proud of him, and then maybe the man would lighten up a little if he came back covered in blood. 'I tried to be good, but he just wouldn't behave.' Somehow, that excuse seemed like it would work for all of ten seconds.

Going up to another door, he rapped his knuckles against it and listened, then tried the knob. It wouldn't turn. So not all the doors were open like the closet had been. Good to know. "Locked and sealed," Grell said, shrugging as he turned to look at Sebastian again. "But you're in a great hurry to get back. Think your master will just waste away and die without you? Or is it more that you're 'falling behind schedule,' hm?"
