CHAT DEMANDS IMPROMPTU IC PARTY FOR THE WIN AND THE LULZ

LET'S GO!  JOIN IN!


At the end of the day, your character is led back to their room in the usual manner.  The nurse's hand reaches for the doorknob and the door swings open, then--

Poof!

Your character appears in a large ballroom with an exquisitely tiled floor and a large stone fountain in the center.  The centerpiece of the fountain, shaped like a large fish, continually emits a spray of glitter from its open mouth.  Several tables covered with crisp white tablecloths are positioned near the walls, and a jar of sharpie brand glitter-paint markers serves as a colorful centerpiece for each.

Against the far wall is a long, rectangular table, with two bowls of red punch.  A sign written in fancy calligraphy rests against each: Yes, and No.  In addition to the punch, there are bottles of every liquor imaginable, as well as several fine wines and packs of cigarettes (though partygoers will have to fight for a single lighter).

The bathroom to one side bears a creepy resemblance to the bathroom in a normal house, complete with a medicine cabinet worthy of a lonely 50's housewife.

On the other side are a series of doors leading to rooms.

If your character goes into a room, please put that room in the subject line.  Rooms are lockable.  If you want a room that isn't listed, tell me and I'll give it to you.  XD




Since this is not an actual damned event and is not srs bzns, feel free to join in with a character that from another rp if you're a potential player.  If this is the case, instead of entering through a door in the institute, your player would enter through a random door in the RP from whence they came.  XD  EDIT:  Party is now also for trying out potential characters.

The YES punch smells and tastes alcoholic, and has the same effect as a normal spiked drink.  The NO punch smells and tastes like normal non-alcoholic party punch.  IF YOUR CHARACTER DRINKS THE NO PUNCH, IM ME AT QUANTIFYTHIS AND I WILL TELL YOU ITS EFFECT.

THE FIRST RULE OF THE PARTY IS DON'T BE LAME.  THE SECOND RULE OF THE PARTY IS SRSLY, DON'T BE LAME.

SMALL PRINT:  Powers and weapons are go as long as whoever you're using them on is cool with it.  Continuity from previous damned parties is intact if you want it to be, or not intact if you don't want it to be.  Clothing is whatever your character wore in canon, whatever they should have worn in canon, whatever they wore in their rp game, or whatever isn't in the dryer.  This impromptu chat party will last until everyone gets bored.

Artemis clenched his jaw, as though forcing himself not to say anything.

"Concerning what? There are many things to say on a person, many different spheres of thought."

He was only prolonging the inevitable.

Laughing, Haku reached over and patted Artemis's chest before curling up beside him again. "I'm only teasing," he said. "I wouldn't want you to say anything you didn't honestly want me to know."

He closed his eyes and was quiet for a moment before frowning slightly. "Though," his voice was low. "I would like to know... Do you think I'm human?"

Artemis frowned lightly, placing his hand on Haku's hair.

"Most of the time," he said, stroking his friend's hair lightly. "Sometimes, though, I think you couldn't possibly be real." He smirked lightly, "You're too good to me."

Stiffening for the briefest of moments, Haku relaxed as Artemis went on to explain.

"You're kind. You should have kindness given to you in turn." Simple as that.

Artemis laughed, "There are many who would disagree with you. But I like to think that I'm kind to those who deserve my highest regard. Those who don't..." The young man's smirk deepened a little. "Well, you can probably guess what happens to them."

"I would imagine the same thing that would happen to those I found to be less than acceptable," Haku teased. "I'm glad you passed muster."

"I'm glad I did as well," Artemis blushed. "Truly. I think we could have been bitter enemies, but I am glad it turned out this way. It's much more pleasant kissing you than fearing for my life constantly."

Haku laughed. "No,I would have just killed you and been done with it. Too much work otherwise." He reached up and placed a hand on Artemis's chest again, spreading his fingers over the white cloth of the shirt.

"I agree though. This is far more enjoyable."

Artemis looked scared for a moment, "So help me, if they ever take you to be brainwashed, I'm not leaving my room. I'll hide under my bed until morning comes, and pray that both of our desks and the dresser will hold."

Haku laughed softly. "Zabuza-san would do the same, and I wouldn't expect anything else."

He sighed, nuzzling a bit closer. "I hope it never happens to me," he said. "I ... Don't think you would be as kind if you saw me at my worst."

Artemis frowned lightly, "It wouldn't be your fault, you know. It would just... happen. No one wants to hurt their friends, but... they don't have a choice."

"I know. It wouldn't change the fact that I would become exactly what I'm trying not to be anymore. Even if it's for one night, I don't think I would be able to stand you being frightened of me. Truly frightened."

Haku sighed. "It's stupid to worry about it though. Either it will or it won't."

Artemis tilted Haku's chin up so that they were looking straight into each other's eyes, and he kissed him. Briefly, but passionately. "It is stupid to worry about. Especially when we're both right here and safe. Nothing like that will happen, not now."

Haku pressed into the kiss and smiled when it was broken.

"True. I suppose I will just have to trust you and relax for the night."

Artemis laughed, "Yes, trust me. I can only tell the truth tonight, apparently. So you can believe me when I say I will do anything and everything in my power to prevent you from being taken."

"No, I would feel better if you did nothing. I don't want you to be hurt because of me."

Haku's hand twitched on Artemis's shirt, bunching the fabric slightly. "So, if they come for me, just stay in our room and be safe."

Artemis looked concerned, but he saw the merit in Haku's words. He wouldn't be able to do anything to snap Haku out of it, most likely, and he would only be putting himself in danger.

"I understand. I'll respect your wishes, I promise," he said, stroking Haku's hair again.

Haku smiled, leaning up to press a kiss to his friend's lips again. "Thank you."

Artemis was taken aback just a bit, but he accepted the kiss graciously. "I would do anything for you, should it elicit that sort response," he laughed nervously. Damn that punch...

Haku laughed softly. "I've told you that you only need to ask. I don't mind being close."

"Of course..." Artemis said. "But, there's a certain place and time and mood. And while we have the place and time... I'm not certain how we achieved the mood last time. It all happened so suddenly..." The young man blushed, looking terribly awkward.

"We're young still and male," Haku teased. "It's in our nature."

Artemis groaned and tried to cover his blush with his hands. "I know, I know... but I feel there should be some... prelude. Something to prove it isn't completely... physical. You must understand that, yes? I don't ever want you to feel as though I'm using you, Haku." The young man looked pained, but he squeezed Haku's shoulder briefly. "Ever."

"Prelude? I ... don't think I understand what you mean, but honestly," Haku smiled warmly. "I have never felt like you were using me. Trust me, I'm familiar with that senario and this isn't even remotely close."

He couldn't get much closer without hopping back into Artemis's lap, so he settled for reaching up and placing his hand over the one on his shoulder. "I trust you. Really."

"As in... some sort of swell of feeling leading up to the act," Artemis explained, blushing the whole time. This was getting more and more awkward. "And... I'm thrilled that you trust me, I am, however... I feel it would be strange to simply begin kissing suddenly, without any buildup..."
