PARTY PARTY PARTY
Aug. 29th, 2000 11:23 pmCHAT DEMANDS IMPROMPTU IC PARTY FOR THE WIN AND THE LULZ
LET'S GO! JOIN IN!
At the end of the day, your character is led back to their room in the usual manner. The nurse's hand reaches for the doorknob and the door swings open, then--
Poof!
Your character appears in a large ballroom with an exquisitely tiled floor and a large stone fountain in the center. The centerpiece of the fountain, shaped like a large fish, continually emits a spray of glitter from its open mouth. Several tables covered with crisp white tablecloths are positioned near the walls, and a jar of sharpie brand glitter-paint markers serves as a colorful centerpiece for each.
Against the far wall is a long, rectangular table, with two bowls of red punch. A sign written in fancy calligraphy rests against each: Yes, and No. In addition to the punch, there are bottles of every liquor imaginable, as well as several fine wines and packs of cigarettes (though partygoers will have to fight for a single lighter).
The bathroom to one side bears a creepy resemblance to the bathroom in a normal house, complete with a medicine cabinet worthy of a lonely 50's housewife.
On the other side are a series of doors leading to rooms.
CURRENT SUB-ROOMS:
Bathroom
Office
Room of Mystical Legal Aging
Vegas Hotel
Broom Closet
Walk-in Freezer
If your character goes into a room, please put that room in the subject line. Rooms are lockable. If you want a room that isn't listed, tell me and I'll give it to you. XD
Since this is not an actual
damned event and is not srs bzns, feel free to join in with a character that from another rp if you're a potential player. If this is the case, instead of entering through a door in the institute, your player would enter through a random door in the RP from whence they came. XD EDIT: Party is now also for trying out potential characters.
The YES punch smells and tastes alcoholic, and has the same effect as a normal spiked drink. The NO punch smells and tastes like normal non-alcoholic party punch. IF YOUR CHARACTER DRINKS THE NO PUNCH, IM ME AT QUANTIFYTHIS AND I WILL TELL YOU ITS EFFECT.
THE FIRST RULE OF THE PARTY IS DON'T BE LAME. THE SECOND RULE OF THE PARTY IS SRSLY, DON'T BE LAME.

Date: 2008-08-30 05:43 am (UTC)"It isn't like you to have... wings. And a tail." That was most certainly new. Grell was clearly insane, but not insane enough to consider a species-change. Or so he thought.
"I simply want to know where we are. Then I will leave you to... whatever it is you're doing." It looked like he was trying to get out, but one never knew with Grell.
no subject
Date: 2008-08-30 01:22 pm (UTC)He grinned and turned a little, having grown accustomed to the way the long trail of red feathers moved behind him like a bridal train. Oh! Wouldn't that be the best? He'd be the perfect bride in red. Red was better than stupid white anyway.
Wagging a finger slowly back and forth at Sebastian, Grell faced him again and tossed his hair over his shoulder with one graceful movement of his hand, smirking at him as he set the other hand on his hip. "That doesn't give me much incentive to tell you anything, now does it, darling? I'm much more inclined to lie and keep you here."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-30 06:28 pm (UTC)"I suspected as much," Sebastian gave a small sigh and pulled his gloves tighter. "Shall I give you an incentive to tell me?"
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 04:15 am (UTC)Happened to die, in this case, of course, meaning Grell going on a rampage and killing half of them. Or more. More would be nice. Maybe if he stacked up enough bodies, he'd be able to hide that atrocity of a fountain. The thought of burying the room in bodies made him chuckle a little and he let out a happy sigh as he imagined the place bathed in red.
Back to the task at hand. "But if you have any other incentives besides violence..." he hinted, grinning as he began to shrug his coat off. Funny how the bloodstains had never come out. "I'm more than receptive to any of your advances, darling."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 04:35 am (UTC)"No one will die here," Sebastian said. Grell was right on one count--Ciel would be upset if Sebastian happened to be involved in the mass-murdering of a room full of people. Especially if said action didn't do anything to help the situation. "And I will not make advances on you. I simply wanted to know where we are. But if you don't know, I will ask someone who does."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 05:28 am (UTC)And the chainsaw was ready to rip him in half given a reason. Grell never got a chance at revenge for Sebastian breaking his face in. He suddenly wished he had something to keep his hands busy. Will wasn't here, but he wouldn't put it past that guy to pop out of NOWHERE and just kick him in the head for getting too close to 'unsavory characters.' Had to keep busy, had to keep busy...
"Aa! Who said I didn't know?! And besides! Isn't the point not of where we are, but who has enough power to keep us here? The doors are gone, if you haven't noticed."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 06:24 am (UTC)Especially for him.
But Grell had a very good point. Whoever had enough power to bind him here without Ciel as well was something to be reckoned with. Was it threatening? Or simply toying with them? The glittering room was very characteristic of Elizabeth, but the girl couldn't have made doors disappear and broom closets lead to
glitter hellthis place."If you knew where we were, you would already be gone, most likely. Who do you know of with enough power to create such a scenario?"
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 06:55 am (UTC)Augh, that idea left a foul taste in his mouth. More people out there with a sick sense of humor like theirs was just not needed.
But- Did Sebastian just praise him? In a round about way, but had he? HE HAD. Grell giggled and flailed, blushing madly. "Oh, Sebas-chan! You know me all too well! Of course I'd be out of here in no time! There's no question about it!" He stopped and stared at the fountain with a disgusted look on his face and the girlish blush left his cheeks in an instant. "I'd never be caught dead someplace so atrocious of my own accord." Back to the girly routine. "But~ Unforunately, the ones I know capable of doing this would have made it much worse. I'm stuck with these gaudy appendages, aren't I? But no one else. So it's not them. Do you know anyone?"
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 07:18 am (UTC)"No one," Sebastian admitted. He'd just returned from the curry competition with Ciel, Sohma, and Agni, and was making up the beds when this had happened. Certainly it wasn't West. Grell and William were the only ones he could think of with enough supernatural power to cause something like this to happen.
"Everyone I've encountered recently doesn't have... the talents we both possess."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 07:43 am (UTC)But Will was generally prickly when it came to the issue of the demon Grell had found himself so utterly infatuated with. Not that it mattered really, since Grell's obsession was part love and mostly murderous rage, but even then the paperwork as Will would say. Damn that man and his paperwork.
"It has to be boring without us around, hm? Perhaps I should drop in for a visit someday? Oh~ I'd love to see Ciel again. He was such a cute little-" Brat that needed to die. "Boy!"
Right. Augh, that made him sick to say. "But if you're not up against the fun ones, what have you been doing to keep yourself occupied, my darling?"
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 08:00 am (UTC)"We're rather busy right now, we currently have guests in the Manor," That were driving Ciel insane, but they were as good an excuse as any. "Perhaps another time."
In any polite society, that was the iron door being swung shut on a potential guest. Grell, however... well, Sebastian didn't hold out any hope that the shinigami wouldn't try something.
"Well, as of late Ciel found himself in another murder investigation, so I was aiding him in that. Fortunately, the situation wasn't as dangerous as I had originally assessed."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 08:32 am (UTC)"Oh, that's too bad. Perhaps I'll have to see to these guests as well. Madam did everything she could for her cute little nephew, you know." Grell smiled just as cordially, but he had a feeling his sharp teeth killed the amiable feelings. He'd have to try something though. It wasn't like sneaking into a manor could be that hard, right? "And what a pity. A murder investigation with no challenge? That's just like going out to the store for you, isn't it?"
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 08:51 am (UTC)Sebastian would have to be very diligent during this trip. At a circus, Grell would most likely fit right in, after all.
"The opponent I fought was very worthy," Sebastian smiled. He respected Agni a great deal. "And fast. Faster than you. Fortunately, I did not have to kill him."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 09:26 am (UTC)Someone being faster than him rubbed Grell the wrong way and he snubbed the statement like it didn't exist. "Hmph, well, then while you're off gallivanting around, I'll have to take care of London in your stead. Don't worry, darling - it's in good hands."
Unless Grell could find out where Sebastian was going. Then he'd find a way to follow him.
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 09:36 am (UTC)Squishing your subordinate's face into cobblestones had the air of being chastised, after all.
"He seemed far more concerned with the laws that govern you rather than your desire to kill me," Sebastian said with a smile.
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 07:23 pm (UTC)He couldn't really dispute the fact that Will would be upset if he broke any other rules. His supervisor couldn't see anything beyond the Book, meaning unless there was a loophole somewhere, Grell couldn't just up and kill Sebastian. Dammit. He hated ironclad rules.
"Because he doesn't much care if you live or die," Grell finally said, rather flippantly as he leaned against the wall. "And I don't think knocking on the walls is going to help you any. It sounds solid other than those three other doors over there."
no subject
Date: 2008-08-31 07:35 pm (UTC)Sebastian frowned and straightened up from knocking on the wall. "Yes, I came from that broom closet over there," he said, indicating the direction. "So it functioned as a way in rather than a way out, really."
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 02:20 am (UTC)Broom closet? Grell eyed the doors and then shrugged. He couldn't remember which one he came from, but he wouldn't be opposed to taking Sebastian into one. Not that he'd come back out alive, but such was the tragedy of Romeo. He was destined to die for his Juliet, even if Shakespeare hadn't really meant that Juliet would murder him with a chainsaw. Rewrites were so much fun. Pushing away from the wall, he strode out into the room, turning once he was nearing the crowd. "Might as well check those for ways out then, don't you think? More plausible than a wall, Sebas-chan."
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 02:30 am (UTC)Also, leaving the general populace to Grell would surely result in a happy chainsaw spree.
"Where do you suggest?" Sebastian asked, grudgingly. Working with Grell. What would Ciel say if he found out? Nothing good. "Perhaps the doors?"
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 02:46 am (UTC)He couldn't help but gloat, and also he was already prepared for failure. After getting stuck in the multicolored hell for months now, he was more than willing to accept that certain situations you just couldn't escape from. Sebastian didn't need to know that, though. If he could dangle the hope of escape in front of him, then he might get a chance to put a chainsaw through the man's neck.
Who cared if he came back. It'd satisfy his anger for a little bit. "Unless you want to try diving into the fountain, I'd say the doors are a good bet." Waving one arm forward, he bowed to Sebastian and grinned again. "After you, Romeo."
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 03:16 am (UTC)His eyebrows drew together and his mouth twisted down in a disapproving expression, but he didn't say anything about Grell's choice of pet name for him. He walked past Grell in the direction of the doors.
...hadn't there been three before? Now there were five...
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 03:28 am (UTC)Shrugging, he followed after Sebastian and stretched his arms above his head. "So? Which are we--" Wait. What the hell. There were two more doors. Was this place growing?! "....Well, isn't that a surprise. Will you be taking door number 1 or door number 'where did that come from'?"
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 03:48 am (UTC)...Heaven save him. Ironic as that was to say.
"I'll... check the broom closet first. It is where I came from, after all. Perhaps if I go back in and shut the door, this will be over."
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 04:05 am (UTC)Weren't there bad stories written about such things in the trashy magazines? Not that he read those. ...right. Anyway.
"Unless you trust me to stand guard outside. Alone. With the lambs."
no subject
Date: 2008-09-01 04:14 am (UTC)The butler opened the door to the broom closet. "After you."
