CHAT DEMANDS IMPROMPTU IC PARTY FOR THE WIN AND THE LULZ

LET'S GO!  JOIN IN!


At the end of the day, your character is led back to their room in the usual manner.  The nurse's hand reaches for the doorknob and the door swings open, then--

Poof!

Your character appears in a large ballroom with an exquisitely tiled floor and a large stone fountain in the center.  The centerpiece of the fountain, shaped like a large fish, continually emits a spray of glitter from its open mouth.  Several tables covered with crisp white tablecloths are positioned near the walls, and a jar of sharpie brand glitter-paint markers serves as a colorful centerpiece for each.

Against the far wall is a long, rectangular table, with two bowls of red punch.  A sign written in fancy calligraphy rests against each: Yes, and No.  In addition to the punch, there are bottles of every liquor imaginable, as well as several fine wines and packs of cigarettes (though partygoers will have to fight for a single lighter).

The bathroom to one side bears a creepy resemblance to the bathroom in a normal house, complete with a medicine cabinet worthy of a lonely 50's housewife.

On the other side are a series of doors leading to rooms.

If your character goes into a room, please put that room in the subject line.  Rooms are lockable.  If you want a room that isn't listed, tell me and I'll give it to you.  XD




Since this is not an actual damned event and is not srs bzns, feel free to join in with a character that from another rp if you're a potential player.  If this is the case, instead of entering through a door in the institute, your player would enter through a random door in the RP from whence they came.  XD  EDIT:  Party is now also for trying out potential characters.

The YES punch smells and tastes alcoholic, and has the same effect as a normal spiked drink.  The NO punch smells and tastes like normal non-alcoholic party punch.  IF YOUR CHARACTER DRINKS THE NO PUNCH, IM ME AT QUANTIFYTHIS AND I WILL TELL YOU ITS EFFECT.

THE FIRST RULE OF THE PARTY IS DON'T BE LAME.  THE SECOND RULE OF THE PARTY IS SRSLY, DON'T BE LAME.

SMALL PRINT:  Powers and weapons are go as long as whoever you're using them on is cool with it.  Continuity from previous damned parties is intact if you want it to be, or not intact if you don't want it to be.  Clothing is whatever your character wore in canon, whatever they should have worn in canon, whatever they wore in their rp game, or whatever isn't in the dryer.  This impromptu chat party will last until everyone gets bored.

"Very much so." Haku smiled, thinking back on it. "I was very happy on the farm, and was happy when Zabuza-san took me in. I was happy to learn from him and stay in his Village and I was happy to travel all over my country. I will miss it very much."

Artemis' expression turned pained. What a topic to bring up. Haku's current status of life. His cold skin was suddenly much colder and firmer. "Perhaps you can go back one day..."

Haku laughed softly, not at all upset. "No, I can't." He smiled. "Zabuza-san and I were being hunted before we came to the hospital," he explained. "We'd been branded as traitors, or Nukenin by our Village. We would be killed if we returned."

No matter how many times Haku said things like that, Artemis would never get used to it.

"No," Artemis said, narrowing his eyes. "I'll make it happen for you. I'll work until you can see your home again."

"That's very kind of you to say," Haku said. "But Zabuza-san and I attempted a coup. A not terribly bloodless one either. That, coupled with the fact that I was already seen as little better than trash, I doubt I would ever be welcomed back with open arms."

He smiled and squeezed the hand he held. "But thank you for the thought."

He looked up at Haku, horrified, his hand going slack. "No. No, I've overcome bigger things than that. You'll see it again, one day. I promise."

"Artemis," Haku tried, pitching his voice to a soothing tone. "I see it in my memory. And I am very happy with what I have now. I do not regret anything I did and I respect the laws of my country that keep me out. I will not do anything to go against them."

This was, of course, a moot point, as Haku wasn't certain he could rerturn home without just .... dying. "Besides, I think I would like to see your home as well."

"Y-yes..." Artemis forced himself to change the subject. He didn't want to discuss this anymore. "Tara is beautiful. It's an island, I suppose, but a large island. And the green fields go on forever. Flying over it has always been one of my greatest joys."

Haku frowned slightly. "Flying over it?" He wasn't sure how that worked.

"Is that one of your abilities?"

Artemis laughed, "No, no, no. In a plane. I'm too young to get a proper pilot's license, but one of these days I'll get one. When I have the time, of course."

Haku made a soft,slightly confused sound. "Plane?"

Artemis blinked. Haku's world had closed circuit TV and indoor plumbing, but no aircraft?

"It's... a machine. That humans use to fly. For transport or recreation."

"That's .... interesting." Haku smiled. "I'm sorry," he said. "I must seem like a rather dense person right now."

He shrugged lightly. "We don't use something like that. There's no need. We have boats, but that's really about it."

"No, no, not at all," Artemis said. "You don't sound dense at all. I'm just surprised that you haven't heard of aircraft but your country is technologically advanced in other areas. But yes, boats are adequate. A bit slower, however..."

Haku laughed. "Well, we also walk. And there are wagons too." He smiled. "It's a bit cheaper to walk though."

Walking. Artemis couldn't imagine walking to a business meeting. The Fowl Bentley was a vital part of his day-to-day routine. What would he do without it?

"Things are very different, where I'm from," He squeezed Haku's hand. "I want to take you there, and show it to you. I think you'll like it."

Haku smiled warmly. "I would like that very much," he said. "I think I would like it very much, from what you say."

"I think you would as well," The boy sighed, nuzzling Haku again. He was comfortable, and Haku's cool body temperature made for a comfortable situation temperature-wise as well. "Perhaps I could even take you to a place where it snows. Perhaps Nepal, or the winter house. We could stay there together. I would fly us there, naturally, and it would just be the two of us..." He looked up at Haku. "We can do that, right?"

"Of course," Haku said, tucking close to the now larger young man. "I would like to see how you 'fly' as well. It sounds very interesting."

Artemis was happy that Haku responded in the affirmative. They both knew what he had been getting at: Haku's unfortunate status of life. Artemis could do this, though. He had overcome death before, he could do it again. It was all a matter of turning back the clock.

"Yes, it might be terrifying at first, but you'll get used to it, I'm sure. I'm a very good pilot. And you trust me, don't you?" He laughed.

"I don't know," Haku teased. "I think I will have to see exactly what a 'plane' is first."

He sighed, relaxing a bit more. "I wonder if I would still have my Kekkei Genkai in your world," he said absently.

"Kekkei... excuse me?" Artemis said, arching an eyebrow. The term sounded familiar, but he couldn't remember what it was.

"Kekkei genkai." Haku smiled and held up a hand. "Bloodlimit ability. It's something that happens from time to time in my world with different clans."

"Oh... right, the thing that gives you an extraordinary amount of power, correct?" Artemis thought back to the rose. Most likely, Haku could do that sort of thing to the water in people's bodies and... well, that wouldn't be easy to clean up, suffice it to say.

Laughing softly, Haku nodded. "I wouldn't say that," he said. "And it's different for each clan. The Uchiha clan is one of the most famous, known for the Sharingan eye, an eye that can see through anything, and copy any move or skill save a kekkei genkai, while I ... am just very cold."
